In Minusinsk, the solemn opening of the mural of the hero of the Russian Federation, a resident of Minusinsk Vladimir Chepe, took place. This was reported in the press service of the regional government.
The commander of the intelligence battalion Vladimir Chepa took part in a special military operation from the first days of its implementation. In the summer of 2023, his group discovered and destroyed the unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Vladimir and his two scouts entered into an unequal battle with opponents who tried to break through to the defensive point of the Russian troops. When the ammunition was running out, the commander called the artillery fire on himself. The attack was repelled, the enemy lost more than 50 people. Vladimir Chepa died from injuries.
By decree of the President of the Russian Federation for courage and heroism, manifested in the performance of military duty, the guard Vladimir Chepe was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.
In their hometown, they carefully store the memory of a fighter. At the opening of the Mural with the image of Vladimir Chepa in Minusinsk there were: Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov, the leadership of the territory, Veterans of Svo, parents of the hero, cadets, residents of Minusinsk.
“There is such a profession – to defend the homeland, and the Russian land has been standing for many years, it will stand, and it will stand for centuries thanks to the true sons of the Fatherland. They serve and do this at the call of the heart, because their parents raised this, because grandfathers and great -grandfathers did this. Vladimir Chepa is the son of Russia, born on Minusinsky land. He was a real officer, commander, until the last second of his life remained faithful to the oath. He is forever in the lists of defenders of the Fatherland, in the ranks of the great sons of his land, ”said Mikhail Kotyukov.
After the opening ceremony, the head of the region talked with the family of Vladimir Chep and veterans of a special operation who came to honor the hero’s memory.
We will remind, earlier in the Krasnoyarsk Solnechny completed work on a mural with a young football player. The athlete was drawn on the wall of the house located on Molodezhny Avenue. Soon Muralov will become even more in the city – now artists are planning to start work in the plowed microdistrict.
