Fathers 4+ will have access to the so -called maternal retirement

Men who have at least four children and want to sacrifice their upbringing will have the right to the so -called maternal retirement – reports on Thursday Rzeczpospolita.

The daily informs that the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy plans to correct the principles of granting a parental supplementary benefit.

As the author of the text indicates, “as a rule, it is entitled (in an amount equal to the lowest retirement) to women who did not work professionally in the past and dealt with at least four children.”

He also explains that men can apply for such support in exceptional situations. “As a result, for over 100,000 applications registered since 2019, only 667 were submitted by fathers,” we read.

Sebastian Gajewski, deputy minister of family, work and social policy, cited by “Rz”, announces a change in the regulations.

– The construction of premises for acquiring the right to this benefit puts them (men) in a worse position. This is inconsistent with the constitution. The Ombudsman paid us attention to this problem – said Gajewski “Rz”. (PAP)
