The District Prosecutor's Office in Radom initiated an investigation into weapon trade between the Łucznik Broni factory from Radom and the American company Arms of America. Investigators will check whether the management of Łucznik, by changing the contract with a contractor from the USA, could have exposed the company to the detriment of $ 1.2 million.

Prosecutor's spokeswoman Aneta Góźdź informed on Wednesday that the investigation was initiated on July 30 in connection with the report of MP KOD Konrad Frysztak.

– The procedure concerns the import of direct danger of causing significant financial damage of not less than $ 1.2 million to the Łucznik – Radom factory in the period from March 2023 to August 2024 – said the spokeswoman.

Investigators will investigate whether the management of the Radom company has properly secured the property of the arcade in the implementation of the agreement concluded with the ARMS of America, and regarding the distribution of archer products in the USA.

At some stage of cooperation, the terms of the contract changed. A beneficial mechanism of deferred payment was introduced for Americans while introducing a record on the transfer of ownership of devices as soon as the invoice is issued. Investigators will also investigate the issue of large orders, despite a significant delay in payments by ARMS of America.

Frysztak reported in April to the prosecutor's office after the publication of Onet. At a press conference, he said that his reservations concern the decision of the management board of a company operating in 2021-24, i.e. former president Wojciech Arndt and Seweryn Figurski, a former deputy and currently the president of the company.

In the opinion of the KO parliamentarian, while they managed the archer there was an unfavorable change in the provisions of the contract with an American arms trade broker.

Frysztak referred to the reports of the Onet portal, which described how the Radom company, wanting to enter the American market, established cooperation with a small company from Texas, through which it sold in the USA Beryl rifles, VIS 100 pistols and parts for this weapon.

According to Onet, the cooperation was doing well until The American company first sent money to the factory, and only then received weapons from it. “Everything changed in 2023, when the president of the factory Wojciech Arndt and Vice President Seweryn Figurski modified the contract with the Americans in such a way that the factory first began to send a weapon and then waited for payment” – wrote the portal.

According to Onet's findings, In the same year, payments began. Although the debt was growing, the Radom factory did not stop sending weapons to Americans.

According to Onet, the Radom plant was still sending the goods, despite the fact that the contractor did not pay, because it could be about the bonuses that the management board awarded himself for completing the annual plan. – The president and vice president earned about 480 thousand. zlotys a year, so the bonus could be half of the annual earnings – the portal pointed out.

President of the Management Board of Fabryka Broni Łucznik Radom Seweryn Figurski denied media reports. – The Bronki Factory did not lose even one dollar in cooperation with the Americans, on the contrary we earned millions of zlotys on it – said Figurski.

According to him, The questioned change in the method of settling with the Americans is “a simple business decision that was dictated by excellent cooperation with this partner.” – but the civil weapon market, especially in America, is governed by its laws; The market slowed down a bit, debt was created, which is successively repaid – said the head of the Łukznik board.

He assured that the Radom factory was in excellent condition.

– We are practically the highest positioned from companies in PGZ, we achieved record profits, several hundred million revenues, we are an extremely effective enterprise, we only improve our results every year – said the president of Łucznik. (PAP)
