The Krasnoyarsk residents were reminded of what is dangerous to burn with hogweed and how to act if you received it.
The dermatovenerologist of the State Scientific Center for Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology of the Ministry of Health of Russia Elena Egorova explained that all parts of the plant contain toxic substances – furanocumarins. They are activated under the influence of the sun and can lead to strong burns.
Therefore, when in contact with the hogger juice, you should immediately carefully get the contact place with a napkin or cloth, and then thoroughly rinse the area with running water. It will take about 10-15 minutes to completely remove the juice.

After that, it is necessary to prevent possible contact with the sun. To do this, you need to either apply a bandage on the affected area, or put on dense clothes.
