Ai enters Polish schools. NASK announced tenders


As explained, in the spring of the Government Administration Service Center (COAR), acting on behalf of the Ministry of Digitization, announced a tender for a laptop for schools worth over PLN 1.4 billion. “Also in the spring it was expected to announce a tender for AI and Steam laboratories for schools with a much higher value” – added.

“Things have long dragged, but the tenders have just started. The NASK Institute supervised by the Ministry of Digitization has just announced a tender for the purchase of 12,000 artificial intelligence studios (AI) and almost 4.4 thousand studios of natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). New equipment will go to primary and secondary schools until the end of the 2025/2026 school year” – we read in the article.
As noted, the purpose of the action is to equip schools with ICT devices and infrastructure that will improve the quality of education in Poland. “The total value of the equipment in both proceedings is estimated at almost PLN 2.4 billion gross” – it was written.

It was explained that the order for the AI laboratories announced by NASK It covers 8,000 Equipment sets for the workshop equipment in primary schools and 4,000 Equipment sets for the workshop equipment in secondary school schools.
“One set includes 16 laptops, a central unit of AI services, AP network device with Wi-Fi, cabinet for devices with laptop charging function, UPS guaranteed power supply for the central unit, interactive monitor with a screen diagonal min. 75 inches with a stand, HD USB camera with a microphone and a stand and software”-reads in the newspaper.
It was noted that the order for STEM laboratories is divided into two parts, each includes a design and prototyping lab, a workshop of robot construction and a natural workshop.
It was reported that the budget of the order for AI laboratories is PLN 1.86 billion gross, and on the STEM workshop PLN 533 million gross. “Both proceedings are conducted to conclude framework contracts with many contractors,” it was written.
As explained, “the deadline for submitting offers in both tenders was set for September 11” and orders are financed from KPO.
