Hockey player Alexei Zaitsev died, Creator of one of the most successful Moscow amateur teams “Stalker”
The 54-year-old athlete and businessman died on January 10. The cause of death is now being established by experts.
In his youth, Zaitsev played for the Moscow team, and played with the famous Pavel Bure as part of the capital's Dynamo. In 2014, he created an amateur team “Stalker”, where he played at the position of the attacker.
The team became the first metropolitan champion of the 40+ Night Hockey League, the creation of which was initiated by Vladimir Putin, and received a grant in the amount of 100 million rubles, for which, under the leadership of Zaitsev, they built the Stalker ice arena in the capital's district of Kurkino.
