Three men were detained by the Paris police after they were observed while climbing the famous Monument in Paris, and one of them jumped from there with the parachute, according to Le Figaro.
On Saturday morning, three men were seen by the Security personnel at the Eiffel Tower while climbing on the monument. On the spot were called both the police and the firefighters, according to RTL.
The three men were urged to get off the Eiffel Tower immediately, the police say.
An hour later, two of them started to cooperate and were finally escorted by the police. However, the third man preferred to jump from the Eiffel tower with the parachute, landing in the Champ de Mars area.
Once he got to the ground, the man was detained by the police. Prosecutors confirmed to Le Figaro that the other two men were taken over in the custody of the authorities. The three will be brought to the parquet Sunday.
According to the Police Prefecture in Paris, a representative of the company operating the Eiffel Tower filed a complaint.
A similar incident took place on July 10, when two men were detained after they jumped with the parachute. It is unclear if it is about people who have been involved in the event this Saturday.
