Deaths due to drowning. Poland high in the EU


According to data from the European Statistical Office, that Three years ago, 535 people lost their lives in water in water. It's 69 more than a year ago. In the list, Poland overtook Romania, which recorded a large decrease in the number of drowning – from 1033 in 2021 to 472 in 2022.

EU statistics: inheritance trend, but the threat is still serious

Eurostat emphasizes that although the number of drowning is falling throughout the European Union, the problem still remains serious – especially in the summer, when the number of accidents above the water increases. In 2022, in the EU, 194 people drowned less than in 2021, which means a 4 % decrease.
