Changes in the Lithuanian government. There is a candidate for the new prime minister

Inginane is a well -known trade union activist and a relatively new face in Lithuanian parliamentary policy. She won the parliamentary mandate only last year on behalf of LSDP, after which she covered the portfolio of the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare.

– If I get the trust of the president and the Sejm, I will be faithful to social democratic values and work for the good of Lithuania and its citizens – declared during a Wednesday press conference.
Lithuania changes the prime minister. Possible shuffles in the ruling coalition
Currently, the ruling centrolevil coalition consists of three groups: Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (52 seats), Dawn Nemunas (20 seats) and the Democratic Union “in the name of Lithuania” (14 seats) -which gives 86 places in a 141-person Sejm.
After the departure of Paluckas and the upcoming coalition conversations, Lithuanian commentators do not exclude the reconstruction of the office, and even changes in the composition of the coalition itself. The reactions of other groups and the position of President Nauseda, who in the past criticized LSDP for the lack of decisive foreign policy, will be particularly observed.

The current prime minister is giving way. Political background and the context of the crisis in Lithuania
Paluckas's resignation is a serious blow to LSDP, which in recent months recorded stable support and announced a legislative offensive in social matters. The accusations against the former prime minister concern, among others unclear connections with contractors of public tenders and possible abuse of influence in the separation of European funds.
Ruginne's nomination is to be an attempt to rebuild social trust and present a new, less controversial image of the government before the upcoming autumn session of the Lithuanian Sejm.
