Access rules for Romanians at the funeral of Ion Iliescu / those who want to say goodbye to the former president must come in sober outfit

People wishing to present condolences to former President Ion Iliescu at the Cotroceni Palace must have identity documents, a sober outfit and to respect the protocol and behavioral rules, the government established on Tuesday night.

The flowers or candles can only be deposited in the specially arranged space in front of the Cotroceni Palace, on the sidewalk in Geniului Boulevard.
Photography, shooting and talking on the phone are forbidden. Also, those who go to pay tribute to the catafalc are advised not to take personal objects, such as letters, documents or photos.
The government mentions that the people who present themselves at the Cotroceni Palace must have a sober, funeral, in dark colors.
The access is made only on the basis of the identity document, and to enter the Cotroceni Palace complex, the public is subject to individual security and luggage control, at the request of the security personnel.
In addition, access with dangerous objects, weapons, large backpacks, suitcases, or large luggage or other objects that can make access to visitors, and the use of cameras, mobile phones or other electronic instruments is forbidden.
Access of children under 14 years is forbidden.
At the same time, they are strictly forbidden to talk on the phone, photography and filming, out of respect for the solemnity of the moment.
The access of persons who violate or do not comply with the protocol and behavior rules will not be allowed.
The public can submit flowers or candles only in the specially arranged space in front of the Cotroceni Palace, on the sidewalk in Geniului, the Executive said, according to News.ro.
Also, the persons present at the Cotroceni Palace for the presentation of the condolences and the tribute to the Catafalc are asked to comply with the following rules:
- Preserving solemnity and peace throughout the presentation of the condolences, inside the Cotroceni Palace.
- To comply with the internal order measures and to cooperate with the SPP specialized personnel during the security checks that will be carried out in the yard and inside the Cotroceni Palace.
- To respect the schedule of activities and the travel route established by the organizers, as well as the indications of the specialized personnel of the Presidential Administration and the Protection and Guard Service
- Not to bring personal objects (volumes, letters, illustrated, documents or photos).
At the same time, the Government of Romania transmitted the official and complete program of the state funerals to be organized in honor of former President Ion Iliescu, who died on Tuesday at the age of 95.
The calendar and the conduct of the ceremonies were established by the Committee for organizing the state funerals together with the family representative, the executive previously transmitted.
