The windmill act went through the Sejm. Freezing electricity prices until the end of 2025.

On Tuesday, the Sejm supported the majority of the Senate corrections to the so -called windmill act. In addition to the regulations liberalizing the rules of investment in windmills on land, the amendment freezes electricity prices for households by the end of this year. Now the president will decide about the fate of the law.

It is about the amendment to the Act on investments in the field of wind farms and some other acts. In addition to the regulations regarding the construction of wind turbines, the Act contains the extending provision introduced during the Sejm works for the fourth quarter of 2025. freezing the price of electricity for households at the level of PLN 500 per mWh net.

The new regulations endure the 10h principle introduced in 2016 and introduce 500 m as a minimum allowable distance between new wind turbines and residential buildings. Currently it is 700 m.

Now the president will decide about the fate of the law. (PAP)
