Gasoline 95 reached the highest price in history on Russian stock exchanges. The increase in quotations was not even prevented by the further extension of the fuel export ban. Experts believe that deficiencies caused by recent attacks of Ukrainian drones are responsible for record ratings.

The price of unleaded gasoline 95 on the Stock Exchange in St. Petersburg reached the historical maximum on Tuesday, exceeding the level of 77 thousand. rubles (3550 PLN) per ton. The previous record was broken in September 2023, when 76 876 rubles had to be paid for the ton of this fuel.

The Russian daily “Kommiersant” pointed out that The increase in gas price was not able to stop the ban on fuel exporteven extended to August 31. The newspaper cited the statements of economists who want to maintain anonymity, who combine prices with the attacks of Ukrainian unmanned aircraft on the oil refinery in Ryazan. The impact took place on August 2, and in its result, many key installations of the plant were damaged. Specialists are of the opinion that removing damage and restoring the full capacity of the refinery can take up to half a year.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Energy convinces in a statement provided to “Kommersant” that there is a surplus on the domestic oil market, and the price policy takes into account the seasonal increase in demand.
