The president emphasized that during the second term of office, the pandemic of the Coronavirus, which was accompanied by – as he noted – “huge turmoil and great anxiety” for those who had to make “the most important decisions regarding the policy of the Polish state, including health and economic policy.”

After all, we know how we saved jobs, how we saved companies in Poland. It succeeded, so it was a great success – said Duda.

As he pointed out, “the moment of the second shock” during his presidency was Russia's full -glass aggression at Ukraine in 2022.

Duda was also asked if – in retrospect – “would do something different” during his presidency. – NO. I think I would do everything the same, I wouldn't do any significant modifications He assured.

He added that this question is asked in particular to his two decisions: vetoed laws of the United Right government of 2017 regarding the reform of justice and proceedings against Ukraine after Russia's assault. – I would not behave otherwise, I would not put the conditions: “We will help you, we will let in refugees, if you do it and this,” said the president.

He also assured that he would not change his attitude towards Ukraine, “because the policy has ordinary, human decency.” – These are also inter -duties and a decent neighbor does not do that – argued Duda.

Referring to “court wet”, the president emphasized that they were “necessary”. – It was highly likely that there could be such anxieties in Poland that the government of the United Right of the majority would not maintain (in the Sejm – PAP) – said Duda. – On the other hand, the question is who would then win the presidential election towards such anxieties that would probably be in Poland, in the face of such a terrible international pressure in which Poland would be found, if we had such bizarre provisions that allow verifying the judges of the Supreme Court to the Prosecutor General – he added. The president estimated that those laws were “unsuitable for signing.”
