This fall, the ATP tournament in Belgrade will no longer take place, being moved to Athens, the capital of Greece. Novak Djokovic, one of the organizers of Belgrade Open, played a decisive role in this decision.
In recent weeks, the famous tennis player Novak Djokovic has been seen several times in Athens, raising question marks on the reasons for his presence in the capital of Greece. Although some have suggested that the former world leader could move to Athens, the truth is another.
The ATP tournament in Belgrade has been moved to Athens and will take place on November 2-9
DJOKOVIC held several discussions for moving the Belgrade Tennis Tournament to Athens. Belgrade Open has officially confirmed, through social networks, that the tour will not take place in the capital of Serbia, and on the ATP website there was a tournament in Athens.
The Tennis Tournament Belgrade Open, initially scheduled for November 2025, will not be held in Belgrade.
Despite the special dedication and significant efforts, the necessary conditions for the tournament in the planned format and during that period could not be assured, so it was decided not to keep this year's edition..
Since 2021, the organization has successfully delivered a total of 9 tennis tournaments under different brands, including 5 ATP 250 tournaments, one WTA 250, one WTA 125, an ATP Challenger 125 and an ITF tournament.
During this period, the events gathered a large number of tennis fans in both Serbia and the rest of the world, placing Belgrade on the map of major tennis international destinations.

Under the name of the Greek championship, an ATP 250 tournament was added in the official calendar on the ATP website, which is scheduled for November 2-8. The competition will take place on the hard surface and, At the beginning, there will be 28 participants in the simple competition and 16 teams in the double competition.
