The Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Krasnoyarsk Territory warned the residents of the region about the risks associated with flies, and gave recommendations for protection against these insects.
Flies live for about three months, but during this time one female can postpone up to 2,000 eggs. These insects feed on the same food as people and tolerate dangerous diseases, including intestinal infections, helminthias and parasitic diseases.
Favorable places for the propagation of flies – garbage dumps, garbage pits, rotting waste and cesspools. To protect themselves from them, experts advise maintaining cleanliness in the house, especially in the kitchen, store products in closed containers, use mosquito nets and get rid of garbage in a timely manner.
These measures will help reduce the number of flies in the home and reduce the risk of infections infection.
