A new dimension of classical music: Enescu series – JTI Immersive Experience, between memory and innovation

On August 19, 2025, the day on which 144 years have passed since the birth of George Enescu, the festival that bears his name celebrates the composer's memory by a special event, held in the immersive space of Mina-Museum of Immersive New Art. The public is invited to a free projections of the Romanian Audiovisual work- honors tradition and introduces the public into the universe of a new form of classical music reception.

The projections take place from 30 to 30 minutes, starting at 6:30 pm (the last viewing interval starts at 9:00 pm), and the access is free, based on a reservation on the eventim.ro platform: eventim.ro/george-esescu-poema-Romana.

The event thus becomes not only a symbolic celebration of the Enescu Day, but also an introduction to The first series of immersive concerts in the history of the Enescu Festivalwhich will debut at the mine on August 28, 2025.

Composed in 1897, when he was only 16 years old, Romanian poem op. 1 is the first work to which George Enescu assigned a number of opposite – a revealing gesture of his artistic demand. The first audition took place in Paris, in 1898, where the work was praised by critics. After a period of silence imposed in the communist regime, Romanian poem It was brought back in the Romanian concert life by conductor Horia Andreescu, more than three decades ago.

The visual component of George Enescu – Romanian poem: Immersive Experience is made by Les Ateliers Nomad powered by JTI – IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCEand is based on a historical registration made available by Electrecord, with the National Radio Orchestra conducted by the master Horia Andreescu. The projection transforms the musical audition into a total sensory experience, in which the sound, image and space create a unique experience.

It is a natural step towards an audience with multiple expectations and horizons, more and more accustomed to visual and multimedia language, but also a creative approach that reaffirms the international and innovative position of the festival:

Onirius – Contemporary dance, scenic poetry and immersive projection – A show dreamed of by Gigi Căciuleanu on Paul Ilea's music, in which the projections of Les Ateliers Nomad amplifies the dream size of the show (28 and 29 August 2025, 8:00 pm).

Bach in the Jungle – a sound and visual experiment that brings together his baroque Bachhis lyricism Villa-Lobos and his passion Piazzollawith Leticia Moreno – violin and Claudio Constantini – Bandoneon (4 and 5 September 2025)

Klimt Meets Bösendorfer – Ver Sacrum by Alexandra Silocea -A dialogue between Gustav Klimt's symbolist painting and chamber music, in which the sound of the Bösendorfer-Klimt piano, limited edition, is interwoven with a visual experience of rare elegance, with Alexandra Silocea – piano, Patricia Nolz – mezzo -soprano and Laëtitia eïdo – Actress (September 11 and 12, 2025)

The last piece – With echoes from Shakespeare's “storm”, The last piece proposes a vijelie of senses, thoughts and memory. Music, immersive projections and artificial intelligence merges into a concert-installation generated from the composer's brain activity Constantin Basica (18 and 19 September 2025)

In an era of rapid transformations, the George Enescu International Festival remains faithful to its essence-excellence, relevance and cultural openness-at the same time exploring the emerging forms of art.
