The Chamber of Deputies informed, on Saturday, that he did not buy alcoholic beverages this year and does not intend to buy, although these products were included in the estimative budget projection for 2025.
“As a result of the publication of materials on some news sites regarding alleged alcoholic beverages by the Chamber of Deputies, we make some clarifications for a balanced presentation of information. The annual public procurement plan for 2025 was made at the end of 2024, according to the legal provisions, and has a strictly estimated character. budget. Although these products were included in the estimated budget projection for 2025, we specify that they were not considered necessary, and their purchase was not initiated, especially as we are in a period characterized by budgetary restrictions.
According to the quoted source, all possible product purchases are intended exclusively for protocol activities, especially for offering symbolic gifts to foreign delegates, in accordance with diplomatic customs.
The press reported that through the annual public procurement plan, the Chamber of Deputies approved the purchase of premium spirits and Romanian wine. The purchases should have taken place in May and is completed in June, but they do not yet appear on the SEAP platform.
The amount allocated exceeds the threshold of 10,000 euros.
