Creepy exotic spiders, Spanish slugs and other insects appeared in Moscow due to the heat
Exotic insects have begun to be regularly spotted in the capital and region. These are praying mantises, Spanish fat slugs, southern wasp spiders, huge grape snails and giant wasps.
The greatest threat to humans are giant wasps, which have a poisonous sting. Wasp spiders can also bite.
Snails and slugs also pose a threat: they damage vegetable and garden crops and also transmit helminths.
