A few days ago, after heavy rains, the water also flooded a significant part of Freetown, the capital of the neighboring Sierra Leone, and consumed three fatalities.
In West Africa, there is a rainy season, and heavy rainfall exceeding 150 mm is forecast until Sunday in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. The meteorological services of these countries and the African Union warn against violent floods and landslides.
