Trump's declaration appeared after the loud and aggressive statements of Dmitry Medvedev, who in recent days threatened the West, suggesting the possibility of escalating armed conflict, and even the use of nuclear weapons. In the past, Medvedev has repeatedly formulated similar threats, but this time the US reaction was immediate and determined.

The President of the United States Donald Trump assessed on Thursday that the Vice -President of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev “enters a very dangerous path“, mentioning the possibility of war between its country and the USA.

Medvedev announced on Monday on platform X that Trump's “playing in the ultimatum” towards Moscow can lead to Russia's war from the USA. In this way he referred to the words of the US president, who gave Russia time until August 8 to take steps to end the war with Ukraine.
