The police stopped the criminal activities of four residents of Krasnoyarsk aged 25 to 37 years, suspects of fraud in the field of car insurance.

After fictitious clashes, the attackers issued an accident in Europrotocols and applied to insurance companies for receiving compensation for OSAGO policy. The amount of illegally received payments amounted to more than 2.5 million rubles, ”said the State Department of Internal Affairs.

In relation to the attackers, a criminal case of part 4 of Art. 159.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Insurance fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale), the sanction of which provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years with a fine of up to one million rubles. Three defendants were detained, the fourth was elected a preventive measure in the form of a non -departure subscription and proper behavior.
Currently, police officers continue to establish all circumstances, including possible additional episodes of criminal activities of attackers.
