PNL President of Bucharest, Sebastian Burduja, said it is “high effervescence (already) for the City Hall”, on Wednesday, in the context of the meeting between Nicușor Dan and Cătălin Drula and the statements made by the president about the USR deputy.

High effervescence (already) for the Capital City Hall. I have seen – and lived – this movie. Many, too many desires of functions. Few, too few leaders with vision and solutions for Bucharest. Again and again, Dâmbovițean policy becomes a sad contest of political ballet, ”said Sebastian Burduja on Friday.

Burduja, who in 2024 was ranked 4th in the elections for the Capital City Hall, believes that “the fragmentation of the pro-European vote” can lead to winning the poll by gold.

“Great attention to the fragmentation of the pro-European vote! Gold has taken 30% in the second round in Bucharest. In a single round, 20-25% can mean winning the General City Hall. It would be correct to have internal discussions in each party, then in the ruling coalition, and the candidate with the highest chance to be truly supported, to have time to have time, to have time to” Sebastian Burduja.

The Liberal claims that “the stake is too big to hurry these things.”

“Romania either starts to do well from Bucharest, or there is a zob. There is no place for personal pride, and Romanians have been tired of” backstage games “. They ask for a transparent, responsible and competent policy. It is so simple: politicians think about the following elections, leaders think about the next generations.

Meeting between Nicușor Dan and Cătălin Drulă

Nicușor Dan discussed on Wednesday with Cătălin Drulă, and in a press conference later held at the Victoria Palace also spoke about this meeting.

“We discussed with Mr. Drulă many things in particular to the transport in Bucharest. You know that he is passionate about this matter. We also have some elections that probably at today's coalition meeting, you may know better than me what was decided, he was going to decide on the date on which the elections in Bucharest will be,” Nicuşor Dan said.

Asked if he chose his successor at the Capital City Hall, Nicușor Dan replied: “Someone who has transport expertise is welcome in this competition.” Then, the president was asked if Cătălin fulfilled the profile of a mayor of the Capital. “Sure, yes!” He replied.
