Swimswam.com reveals that the medals that will be granted at the 2025 edition of the World Natation Championships in Singapore weighs about 150 grams and were made of about 100,000 doses of aluminum.

The doses were collected by students from 5 kindergartens, 8 primary schools and 3 high schools participating in the Singapore school recycling league. The doses were processed, cleaned and melted to be transformed into medals by a local design agency.

The slogan “Water Shapes Us” (“Water shapes us”) appears both on the back of the medals and on the ribbon that the athletes will wear around the neck.

On the World Aquatics page of the event, the theme is described as follows: “The theme of the event, “Water shapes us”, captures the relationship of Singapore with water and its importance in national development and identity.

Water shapes the geography of Singapore and is essential for the economic growth of the nation. The slogan also reflects how the Singapore championship will encourage the famous collective achievements and the camaraderie spirit. ”

These medals will be granted to 77 different samples of six sports: artistic swimming, water jumps, high height jumps, swimming in open waters, swimming in the pool and polo on water.

I trained a lot, that's why I'm here. This success came after a more relaxing year. I am happier than after the Olympic final. I trained a lot for the Olympic final, and now I am much more relaxed. I had to do this, I was trusting myself, I knew I could. I told myself that I would succeed. I had to give my best and did it. That's how I motivate me, I had to win and everything happened very well.
