The American authorities announced on Thursday about imposing sanctions to the Russian Stock Exchange of Cryptocurrencies Garantex and its bosses. Prizes with a total value of $ 6 million for information leading to their arrest were offered.
The US Department and the Ministry of Finance in a joint statement reported that Garaantex is presumably used by cybercriminals and cybercrime for money laundering.
According to Secret Service and the FBI, Garantex has raised hundreds of millions of dollars from crime's income and was used, among others for hacker attacks, drug terrorism and trafficking. Often, the victims of these activities were entities in the USA.

As added, in the years 2019-2025 via the stock exchange was carried out with critical transactions worth about $ 96 billion. Earlier this year the US took over the domains of this stock exchange.
