The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) appeals to the representatives of the media-TV, radio, written press and online-that Sunday does not present, before the conclusion of the vote for the election of Romania, polls conducted from the ballot box, Agerpres reports

AEP reminds that, according to the provisions of art. 39 para. (5) of Law no. 370/2004 for the election of the President of Romania, republished, with the subsequent modifications and completions, “on the day of voting it is forbidden to present the surveys conducted at the exit from the ballot box, before the vote is completed”.

Also, according to the provisions of art. 55 letter. y) and art. 56 para. (1) and para. (2) Lit. f) and g) of the same law, the non -observance of the provisions invoked previously constitutes a contravention and is sanctioned with a fine from 4,500 lei to 10,000 lei, and the finding of the contravention is within the competence of the National Audiovisual Council, if it is committed by the broadcasters, respectively the competence of the Permanent Electoral Authority, if it is committed by someone else.

“We mention that they can carry out surveys at the exit only the public opinion polls or the commercial companies or the non -governmental organizations that have in the object of activity the conduct of opinion polls and which are accredited, in this sense, by the decision, by the Central Electoral Bureau for the election of the Romanian President of the year 2025.
