Trump warns that it will impose rates for Russia over 10 days if the Ukraine War does not stop

US President Donald Trump said on July 29 that the rates against Russia will enter into force over 10 days, if the Kremlin does not agree to stop the war, according to an audio fragment published by the White House.

Trump's rates are expected to be secondary sanctions against countries buying oil, gases and other Russian products, such as China and India, according to Kyiv Independent.
“Over ten days. And then we will impose tariffs and other things”said Trump, answering a question by a journalist before boarding Air Force One.
“I do not know if he will affect Putin, because he probably wants to continue the war, but we will impose other measures.”
The statements come in continuation of the ultimatum transmitted by Vladimir Putin on July 14, when the US leader warned that the US will impose tariffs “Severe” up to 100%, if Russia does not accept a peace agreement in Ukraine within 50 days.
On July 28, Trump said he was no longer willing to wait so much.
“There is no point in waiting,” “ he said. “I said 50 days because I wanted to be generous, but we simply do not see any progress.”
Trump expressed his frustration to the Kremlin.
“I thought several times that I came to an agreement, and then President Putin begins to launch missiles on a city like Kiev and kill a lot of people in an asylum or something,” he said.
Asked if he intends to meet Putin, Trump replied: “I am not very interested in talking. He has such beautiful and respectful conversations, and then the next night people die.”
During a press briefing on July 29-after Trump's announcement-US State Department spokesman Tammy Bruce was asked about the reason for the deadline. She replied: “He had patience … and maybe some misinterpreted this … The time of wrong interpretations passed.”
Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal asked Trump to act even faster, saying Putin is not worth extra time.
In an interview for the Ukrainian position Suspilne, Blumenthal reiterated the appeal for the adoption of a co-urination draft with the Republican senator Lindsey Graham, which provides secondary rates of 500% on Russian oil.
As a reaction to the modification of the term, Dmitri Medvedev, the vice -president of the Russian Security Council, accused Trump of pushing the two countries for direct confrontation. “Every new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards the war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with its own country,” He wrote on X on July 28.
Despite the warnings launched by Trump, Russia has continued drones and rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities, and military offensives remain active on several fronts.
