The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, spoke at Digi24 on Wednesday about the controls carried out in Romsilva and explained what were the reasons that led to the notification of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
The minister said that the report of the control body has “hundreds of pages”.
“Following the controls made it was discovered that from accounts that should have legally regulated to be used only for accessibility, for conservation, regeneration, from those accounts were taken money and used for other purposes, money has disappeared from those accounts, which should not have happened. It is a fact that theoretically has the possibility to reach Diana.
She stated that the verification action concerned the activity of Romsilva from 2020-2024.
“The control revealed many other non-functionalities of Romsilva (…), bonuses that were allocated, although in the respective forest directions, in the respective years, there were tens of millions. In 2021, in 2022, we have forest directions that had cumulative losses of 70 million lei and, at the same time, they managed to” boning ” Good qualifications, very good ”, continued the Minister of the Environment.
Diana Buzoianu explained that those premiums should have been granted according to the individual performance.
“The control body came and said, first of all, that they had to be given individual bonuses, that is, to analyze each person separately and see if he performed for that first, and, secondly, it is difficult to understand how, in a direction, he has so big losses, in the same year, alive and you say that the minister has been done,”

The Minister of the Environment said that for the employees of the Constanța Forestry Directorate, in one year, he paid with “283% more than was the turnover of the Forestry Directorate”.
