Against Russia's deadly attacks on Ukrainian training bases, the supreme commander of Kiev's armed forces, General Oleksandr Sîrskîi, said on Wednesday that military training should be moved underground as much as possible for soldiers to be as well as possible.

“The entire territory of Ukraine is in the range of enemy rockets and drones,” said Sîrski, in a message transmitted after this month's meeting on the preparation of troops. “The training process must be moved as much as possible underground,” the general pointed out.

A Russian rocket hit a Ukrainian ground forces on Tuesday night, which led to the opening of an official investigation by the Ukrainian army. The bombardment of the Russians on the military polygon resulted in three dead and 18 injured.

A special commission was formed to determine whether the negligence of the military officials contributed to the production of victims.

And in the spring, on March 1, an Iskander-M ballistic missile struck during a formation exercise in the Dnipropetrovsk region, hurting and killing a number of Ukrainian soldiers not revealed, notes The Kyiv Independent.

The Russian recognition drones would have spotted the Ukrainian soldiers gathered in exercise before launching the attack. The incident at that time determined General Sîrski to suspend two commanders and launch an internal investigation, while the Ukraine's investigation office opened a criminal case in relation to deaths.

Sîrskîi stressed Wednesday that improving the preparation and safety of troops remains an absolute priority for the armed forces. In a revised training program, Ukraine expanded the 51 -day basic fighting course and added new modules on drone war, survival in trenches and engineering. Previously, the duration of the preparation was 49 days.

Also, plans are being developed for the extension of underground training and the construction of new instructors schools with the help of the “Come Back Alive” Foundation, said the head of the Ukrainian army.

“The better our soldiers are better trained, the safer, the same (Ukraine),” Sîrskîi said in his message.
