David Popovici clearly dominated the series from 100 meters free, with the time of: 47.41, qualifying in the semifinals with the best time.

The Romanian champion will swim in the second semifinal, from 14.32. He offered a first reaction after the performance in the morning series. David controlled the race from the series at 100 meters free at the Singapore World Natation Championships, obtaining the best time 47.41 s (23.05 and 24.36).

David Popovici was followed, in the order of times, by Kyle Chalmers with 47.48 S and Egor Kornev with 47.51.

Pan Zhanle, the great Chinese rival of David, had only the sixth time in the series, 47.86. The Chinese is the world and Olympic champion of the test, he is also the holder of the world record.
