According to the representative of the country's military forces, the vessel performed a training flight and fell into the Mulde River.
The police informed that part of the helicopter was discovered in the pond, part – not far from the city and the A14 motorway.
According to Bild, the helicopter did not belong to the Bundeswehr air park. The pilot is considered missing. Whether there was someone else on board the ship, has not yet been reported. Information about other victims was also not received.
Around the scene of the accident created a military zone of security, introduced a ban on flights over the district (3.7 km), and more than 100 people work on the spot, including firefighters, police officers and representatives of the Bundeswehr.
As a result of the accident, a leak of large volumes of kerosene into the river occurred.
