May 28 8:00

In Yakutsk, rescuers collected and removed debris from a launch vehicle launched back in December 2025. We are talking about fragments of Soyuz 2-1b, reports KP – Yakutia.

Specialists from the regional Rescue Service worked together with environmentalists and the local administration. They landed at the crash sites, prepared sites for the helicopter, sawed large pieces into pieces and loaded them on board. According to the senior rescue team Pavel Alekseev, the total mass of the removed debris was 3.5 tons.

The samples taken by ecologists in the fall areas are within normal limits and do not threaten nature. Now the rocket fragments have been delivered to Vilyuysk and placed in special containers. From there they will be sent back to the Vostochny Cosmodrome for disposal and study.
