The Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, said on Thursday night that in Romania there are two companies that make the selection of directors receiving thousands of euros in state companies. According to the government official, the two private companies have three employees in total and “receive several tens of thousands of euros to collect the CVs of those interested and to say who is good”, Miruță cataloging the “scheme” as “the genius of evil”.

“The source of entry into this scheme is through two companies that come and make a selection: performing management in Romania. One has an employee, one has two. Private companies receive several tens of thousands of euros to collect the CVs of those interested and to say who is good.

“The mechanism that aims to install these people in such functions is worrying.

“It is a brilliant puzzle thought. The genius of evil. It is the genius of evil on how a man is in office, so that this economic relationship will return money into the pocket of a political influence,” he insisted.

“We have found situations in which managers have a company with an identical object of activity with that of the company where directors have become, after which they direct in the disinterest of the Romanian state, the money in the account of the company they created,” Miruță said.

The minister also stated that a law has been adopted that, if someone has no experience in a previous selection, then he cannot select directors.

“There are two or three companies throughout Romania.

“I mean, they created their perfect instrument. This instrument will be disassembled. It will be thrown like a Lego game that spreads on the floor,” said Radu Miruţă.

At the beginning of July, the Minister of Economy stated that some of the directors of the subordinate companies “concrete their contracts on Ordinance 109, mimicked a selection, made a contract with extraordinary performance indicator.” “I have the needle of those people,” Miruță said.

“Some (directors-no) have concrete their contracts on Ordinance 109, have mimicked a selection, have made a contract with extraordinary performance indicator. If you wake up in the morning and look on the window, it is enough, that you have met the performance indicator. So some have a contractual character that is very slow. If we look like this, they ended a few days before I arrived at the ministry.

At the same time, he said that there are directors who thought they could sleep on one ear, because they have concluded some “hardly modifiable” contracts.

“I have the needle of those people, but it takes a few months, because as a minister, through the GMS, I can propose the change of performance indicators. Mine, looking at the route of organizing those competitions, is that many will not fulfill the performance indicators.
