Measuring stations in Central Norway recorded for 13 days in a row with a temperature exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. The previous record from southern Norway from 1982 was broken by one day. Fire alarms were announced for almost half of the country.

For almost two weeks, meteorologists in Namsskogan and Grong in the Trondelag region recorded the air temperature above 30 degrees C.
Meteorologists confirmed on Thursday on NRK television that this is the hottest period in 43 years. Local government officials cited by NRK want to promote their towns as domestic heat poles.
At the same time, the heat has increased the fire hazard for many days. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has announced the highest alarm for more than half of the country. There is a total ban on the use of open fire, even in places intended for bonfires or camping. Despite the warnings in recent days, there have been many forests, one of which one of which broke out in the area of GRONG heat enjoying the beaten record. On Tuesday, a dozen or so hectares of forest burned there on lightning.
According to scientists, neither Norwegian nature nor infrastructure are ready for such heat, although they will soon become common. Iulia Marginean from the International Center for Cicero climate stressed in an interview with PAP that before Norway it is necessary to adapt the infrastructure, especially residential houses and the railway network, to new realities. Current constructions protect against cold, not against heat.
