Shooting at the University of New Mexico. One person is dead


The shooting took place just before 3:30 local time. The wounded person suffered non -life injuries. The university ordered students to stay at home.

“For security reasons, the Central Campus in Albuquerque has been closed. There are many law enforcement officers at the scene of the incident, which conduct an active investigation,” said the University in social networks.

According to ABC News, the complex of four Casas del Rio buildings with furnished apartments in total offers over 1,000 beds. Albuquerque has about 23,000 students in the academic year. The new ones are currently visiting the campus as part of the planned meetings before the autumn semester, which starts in about three weeks.
