The Union will add to the expressways. GDDKiA will receive over PLN 400 million

GDDKiA has signed contracts for EU co -financing for work on two sections of express routes worth PLN 408 million – according to the Tuesday management of the management. The money will go to the construction of the S1 Cost section – Oświęcim and the expansion of the S19 road on the Sokołów Małopolski North – Jasionka route.

EU funds were obtained from the European Funds program for infrastructure, climate, environment (Phoenix).

According to GDDKiA, the planned, the total cost of the S1 expressway section is over PLN 1.1 billion. The amount of eligible expenditure is PLN 300 million, and EU funding is PLN 255 million. As part of the investment, almost 13 km of S1 express road will be built between Kostne and Oświęcim nodes. The construction of three road junctions is planned: Kosttowy II, Lędziny and Bieruń. Two travelers' service places (MOP Lędzina East and West) will also be built, as well as Engineering facilities (bridges, viaducts, flyover, culverts) and access roads.

In turn, the total cost of the investment on the S19 route is over PLN 357 million. The amount of eligible expenditure is PLN 180 million, and EU funding is PLN 153 million. The task is to expand the existing section of the S19 express road with an additional road with a length of almost 14 km. The investment provides for the reconstruction of the MOP Nienadówka and the expansion of the Stobierna MOP. There will also be engineering facilities (bridges, viaducts, flyover, culverts) and necessary access roads.

The information provided by GDDKiA also shows that in total Poland has already obtained about PLN 7.9 billion from the Feniks program for the development of road infrastructure, which includes not only the construction of new sections, but also numerous engineering facilities and the place of service for travelers.
