Victor Angelescu, the minority shareholder of the ones at Rapidstarted on Tuesday evening as an analyst TV, at the first sport, at the show “Football Show”. Discussed the team scandal, the problem of alcohol in the locker room and the departure of Cristi sapunaru.

The official of the Giulesti spoke about the internal investigation at the club, about the accusations made to the team and how to consume alcohol in the locker room with some of the coaches, who accepted to drink a beer after the matches, when the conclusions were drawn.

Victor Angelescu, new details about the alcohol scandal at Rapid

“((No-did you pay the course of sports director to Săpunaru?) Yes, the Rapid Club. We thought he would be the future sports director. First of all, I let him be a player. He was the team's captain and played an important role in the locker room. We had a discussion with him, and both myself and Mr. Dan Șucu thought of proposing him for the role of sports director.

That's why I sent it to classes, it was a clear intention that I had since winter. In the meantime, an opportunity has emerged: Mauro, the current sports director, was in discussions with Dan and materialized. Mauro came. Dan did something remarkable – I didn't even think we could bring a sports director from Serie A to Romania.

If Mr. Șucu was not involved in Genoa, I think an Italian professional would not have agreed to come. This opportunity appeared and we decided to go to Mauro's hand, which has an experience that helps us a lot at this time.

(No-wouldn't it be good for Săpunaru to be with him, learn and give him the prospect of Romanian football?) The question is correct. But, as I said, we had this opportunity, and Mr. Șucu considered it best to choose a man with 30 years of experience in the field.

It was a club decision. Regarding the scandal with Cristi Săpunaru, I say for the first time: the club has some of the blame for what happened and appeared in the press.

I want it to be clear: Cristi Săpunaru was not excluded from the management plans because of that scandal. Mauro would have been named sports director anyway, regardless of that incident. Neither Mr. Șucu, whom I know well, would not have needed such a context to justify the choice of an experienced professional. A tense situation was created.

What happened did not do well to anyone, neither Săpunaru, nor to the club. We, the management, did not do an internal investigation related to those things. Some coaches considered it normal to consume beer after matches.

It was so in the time of Mihai Iosif, Mutu, Bergodi – some accepted pizza and beer after matches. Others, such as Șumudică, even allowed a glass of wine in the canton, before the match. Other coaches like Lennon or Lobonț, said categorically .

At the beginning of the season I communicated clearly: without alcohol. But if I drank a beer after the match, I don't think it was a scandal reason. Cristi Săpunaru was not investigated, it was not a fine. Everything that happened affected the image, but the club also had to lose. I understand he was upset. Maybe we didn't manage the moment either.

It must be clearly said that Mr. Șucu's idea of bringing an Italian sports director was older. Cristi was upset, logically, when that information appeared in the press. I did not think it would accept the role of of Mauro.

I talked to him to be sports director, then everything remained in the air. We should have seen each other, clarify. But I want to say clearly: we have no problem for Săpunaru to return, at one point, within the club.

They left some people from Rapid, one retired, the other … there were some internal situations, with clear rules. Such things are discussed in the club, not in the public space. It bothers me that everything has discussed in the press. Last season I had no peace. You, the press, suits you, but it was a disaster. In us, any scandal appeared immediately in the newspapers. You start to stop trusting people anymore.

If I was wrong with something, it is that I let everything get into the public space. (No – about the alleged staging, as Săpunaru states?) I saw what Cristi said. It's about the picture from which the whole scandal started. And I suspect someone. The picture could only be taken by someone inside the club – it's from the locker room. I don't know exactly who did it, but it's clear that someone is ours.

What I can say is that we do not have a clear proof that the person X or Y sent it to the press. I understand that Cristi started a dispute against Cârciug. But we, as a club, do not have a concrete test that he transmitted that picture. In the absence of evidence, I could not take any action. We are also waiting for the process to take place and see the conclusions

If it turns out that someone has given the picture, and I keep my word when I say that, that someone in the club has hurt and gave the picture, then that person will leave 100% from Rapid. I promise publicly! If this is not the case, I leave Rapid. It will be expelled, this is not acceptable! ”, Victor Angelescu said at the first sport.

Victor Angelescu: “Things must be supported with clear evidence that they have happened”

“I know who suspects (no part involved), but things must be supported with clear evidence that it happened. As I said, any situation should be treated seriously. Nor, as president, it does not seem normal to talk about what happened with Miță Joseph, if he stayed for a beer or not.

I did not attend scenes in which it stayed until 3-4 in the morning. He ate pizza, talked about the match and then left home. It would not be fair to say that Săpunaru … It was a deep abnormal something that happened in football. These players would not have arrived at current performance if they stayed until 4 in the morning to get drunk. But this is about club, rules and coaches.

Some accept such things, others at all. We don't want that. Now we are the youngest team and we want to avoid alcohol consumption in the locker room. It was a decision made by me and Mr. Șucu. I can't talk bad about Cristi or Nico. Cristi was very professional – he was coming two hours before training, he was doing the room, he was staying with young players, he was a model for them, “said Victor Angelescu, on Tuesday evening, at the show” Football Show “, from the first sport.
