According to the sources of the Sports Gazette, the Italian coach sent to his loved ones that he wants to return to Romania to train.
GSP.ro revealed exclusively one day that Bergodi is currently the main candidate to take over the Technical Bank of Rapid, if Marius Șumudică will not continue after the end of this season.

The Italian returned to Romania just one day after GSP.ro has revealed exclusively that this is the main favorite to take it on Rapid if Marius Șumudică will no longer continue on the team in Giulești.
According to the sources of the Sports Gazette, Cristiano Bergodi told the people who wants to return to Romania to train.
The last team of the Italian career was really fast. Bergodi was appointed to the team from Giulești on July 10, 2023, a week before the start of the championship, instead of Adi Mutu (left for Neftchi Baku). It was the third term of the Italian on the Giuleștean bank, after the July-October 2007 and April-June 2015.
With Bergodi on the bench, Rapid played 37 matches, obtaining 16 wins, 12 draws and 9 defeats.
Throughout his career, Cristiano Bergodi also trained Imoles, Sassuolo, Progress, CFR Cluj, Poli Iași, Steaua, Modena, Pescara, Brescia, ASA Târgu Mureș, Voluntari, Craiova University and Sepsi.
The Italian won 4 trophies as a coach, all in Romania. Bergodi has won the Romanian Cup twice with Sepsi, in 2022 and 2023, and 2 times the Romanian Super Cup, with Sepsi in 2023 and with Rapid in 2008.
