Admission to high school 2025. How many students entered the first option and how many students were distributed with averages below 5

Over 110,000 high school graduates were distributed computerized in high school in the first stage of admission of 2025, and over 40% of them were admitted to their first option. In contrast, over 3,400 students remained unrestricted, most of them from Constanța and Brașov counties, where the non -recartalized rate exceeds 15%.

112.196 students assigned to high school, over 43% at first option

In total, 115,638 students completed options for admission to high school, but only 112.196 (97.02%) were assigned in the first stage. 48,912 students (43.6%) were admitted to their first option, according to the data published by the Ministry of Education.

Distribution according to the completed option:

  • At the first option: 43.6%
  • Second option: 10.57%
  • Third option: 7.07%
  • Fourth option: 5.53%
  • Fifth option: 4.59%
  • Sixth option or more: 28.64%

The total number of options completed: 2,569,525, on average 22.22 options per student, as in the previous year.

3,442 students remained unrestricted. Problems in Constanta and Brașov

3,442 students (2.98%) were not distributed in this first stage, although they completed options. The highest percentage of non-recartedly registered in:

  • Constanta – 11.3%
  • Brașov – 11.4%
  • Ilfov – 17.9%
  • Mureș – 17.48%

Other counties with notable problems regarding the free places or the high rate of the unrestricted candidates: Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Vaslui, Suceava.

What the averages of the theoretical high schools look like

The students assigned to the theoretical high schools had the following distribution of the averages:

  • 20,454 students with average between 9 and 10
  • 22,771 students with average between 8 and 9
  • 12,307 students with average between 7 and 8
  • 6,294 students with average between 6 and 7
  • 3,520 students with average between 5 and 6
  • 1,939 students with average below 5

Apart from computer distribution: vocational, military, Roma, CES

Prior to computerized distribution, in special stages, were admitted:

  • 13,452 students – in vocational high schools
  • 816 students-in vocational-military high schools
  • 3,027 students – on places reserved for Roma students
  • 2,021 students – in places for students with special educational requirements (CES)

Also, 16,675 eighth-grade graduates chose the professional education route.

What follows after the first stage of computerized distribution

  • July 24–29: submission of files in the high schools in which the students were assigned.
  • July 30 – August 1: solving special situations, at the level of county commissions.
  • August 1-19: Stage II Admission-for non-repealed students and for those in previous series who have not turned 18.

6,606 free places will be available in this second stage.
