The US plan for Ukraine caused a storm. Gen. Pacek talks about the costs for Poland

Last Thursday, the American news website Axios revealed a 28-point peace plan for Ukraine, which was prepared by the Donald Trump administration. The project includes, among others: reduction of the Ukrainian army to 600,000 soldiers, loss of Crimea, Donbas and Donetsk. Additionally, Kiev is to write into the constitution that it will not join NATO, and an amnesty will be introduced in connection with acts of war.

The expert comments on the peace plan for Ukraine
American proposals regarding the new European order were assessed by General Bogusław Pacek in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza”. “Regardless of how Trump's 28-point plan changes, the United States will make money from the war in Ukraine, and Russia will also make money from it. Americans dictate to Europe how much it should pay for supporting Ukraine. Poles will pay some of this money thanks to Trump's decision,” says the military officer in an interview with Wyborcza.
As the general points out, no one asked politicians in Europe whether they were ready to pay this price. He calls it “American dictatorship and coercion”, and such solutions usually end badly.

As Politico writes, Trump's plan “set Europe on fire.” Politicians from the Old Continent started a series of multilateral consultations. On Monday, she appeared, among others: information that all issues related to NATO have been removed from the plan.
“I do not rule out that a solution unfavorable to Ukraine will turn out to be not only the only possible scenario for Kiev, but maybe even strategically advantageous. I'm talking about giving up Crimea or other parts of Ukraine. It's not fair, but it can be true. Ukrainians are also aware of this,” explained General Pacek.
