Extreme heat warnings have entered into force on Tuesday, starting at 10:00, and will be in force until Wednesday, at 10:00, according to meteorologists. A RO-Alert message was also transmitted for the population's warning.
With the title “Extreme alert”, the authorities urge citizens to avoid travel, sun exposure and intense physical effort, outside, during the red code entered into force.

The red code of heat is targeting the capital and six counties: Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Călărași and Ilfov.
According to meteorologists, temperatures will be recorded up to 40-41 degrees. The thermal discomfort will be particularly accentuated, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units.
The thermal minimums will be 20-22 degrees, so they will characterize a tropical night.
Also, an orange code warning is in force from 10.00 to Wednesday, at 10.00, in Ialomița and ÎCstanța counties.
Here, the heat wave will intensify, it will be heat, accentuated thermal discomfort, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. The maximum temperatures will be between 38 and 40 degrees. The thermal minimums will be 20 … 22 degrees, so they will characterize a tropical night.

A yellow code, also for the period July 22, 10.00 – July 23, 10.00, is in force for 12 counties. The heat wave will be manifested in the north of Oltenia, Muntenia, in the south of Moldova and locally in Dobrogea, where there will be heat and high thermal discomfort, and the temperature-humidity index (UTI) will easily exceed the critical threshold of 80 units, say meteorologists.
The maximum temperatures will be between 34 and 38 degrees, and the minimum ones, in general, between 18 and 20 degrees.
