On the Kansk TPP, competitions were held among voluntary fire brigades. Fire safety measures at the station have been held since 2015. They play an important role in the preparation of staff for unforeseen situations.

All seven workshops of the station presented their teams, each in each for five people. The composition of the teams is changing annually, so the invaluable experience in extreme situations is received by all employees of the CHP.

Traditionally, competitions are held in three stages. The first stage is a test of theoretical knowledge. In a specially equipped training class, the contestants demonstrated the level of ownership of regulatory documents in the field of fire extinguishing. The thermal power plants emphasize that the energy is related to dangerous production factors, so the laws and rules are strictly regulated here.

Among the important skills and first aid. Therefore, the ability to help the comrade became the second stage of the competition. Modern simulators who imitated the human body helped to work out the skill on the site. According to legend, the participants had to save colleagues. One of them was hit with electric shock, and in order to provide his resuscitation, it was necessary to turn off the power machines and drop the wire, and the second – with an open fracture to evacuate into a safe zone. The time to fulfill the stage is limited, success depended on the coordinated work of the team.

To fulfill the final stage, the team moved to the training ground, where in practice the knowledge of fire extinguishing at the energy facility was put in practice. The organizers note that this year the site was modernized. The chief judge of the competition, the head of the labor and industrial control service of the Kanskaya CHPP, Ivan Platonov noted: “The training ground is equipped with a special soft coating, as on treadmills, to prevent injuries. There is also a stationary water supply to simulate extinguishing fires. ”

Participants note that this stage of the competition is one of the most difficult. All actions at the training ground were close to real conditions. The commands faced a difficult task: from a fire extinguisher to knock down a flame on an electric motor, and to put out a cable box and an electric shock from a fire sleeve.

Compliance with all safety requirements was monitored by the judicial team. To avoid penalty points, the contestants had to report a fire in a timely manner, carry out grounding, not violate the distance to the fire of the fire, as well as use certified protective equipment.

“Intensive preparation for the competition, training with the whole team took about a week. All five people had to master all the skills, because it was not known who would perform which stage, this was determined by the draw. It was interesting, informative and useful to participate in the competitions for the acquisition of practical skills, ”said Dmitry Uvarkin, driver of the steam turbines of the Kanskaya TPP.

This year, in a stressful struggle, the first place was taken by the electric workshop, the second – the centralized repair workshop, and the third – the boiler room.

“During the competition, the participants show a real team spirit and excitement, everyone seeks to fulfill the task as quickly and effectively as possible and help a comrade. This is necessary to ensure the uninterrupted operation of our power plant, a key enterprise of the city, ”said Viktor Vladimirov, director of the Kansk CHPP.
