Six criminal files and fines of 73,000 lei after the pro-Georgecu demonstration on Sunday

The authorities transmitted that they had drawn up 6 criminal files and applied fines worth tens of thousands of lei following the Pro-Călin Georgescu demonstrations on Sunday, July 20.

“Following the violation of the legal provisions in force, the police and the gendarmes have prepared 6 criminal files, for the facts of outrage, destruction, public instigation, preventing or making traffic on public roads and port or use without dangerous objects, in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Code of Romania”the authorities sent in a statement.
Also, the gendarmes and police officers applied 23 contraventional sanctions, totaling 72,942 lei. The organizer of the event also received a contraventional sanction worth 10,000 lei for non -observance of the place and perimeter intended for public assembly.
At the same time, the police retained 2 registration certificates and 2 sets of registration plates and established the identity of 163 persons.
“Next, we make checks for identifying and taking legal measures against other people who caused law enforcement, exerted pressure on the gendarmes, blocked the communication channels and incited to violence”is shown in the statement.
The sanctions come after the protest “Get out of the house, if you care”organized on Sunday in front of the Government and in which some participants blocked the road, dressed in the gendarmes, and a knife was found on a man. Two of the protesters who attacked the gendarmes were taken by van.
Also, on Sunday, a truck driver, supporter of Călin Georgescu, blocked the meaning of Bucharest of the A1 highway, stopping the vehicle in the middle of the road and waving the flag of Romania on the cabin.
The gendarmes subsequently transmitted that on the social networks several people urged to block the access roads to Bucharest.
