Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, the PNL leader, spoke on Monday on B1 TV about the Government's decision to suspend a series of investments financed from the national budget and stated that at the proposal of the Ministry of Development “this decision was made that the projects on the roads, which are in a proportion of 80% already realized, will be continued to finish something, and to be completed, and to be completed, and to be completed, and to the water, and to the water, in a phase of over 40%”.
The prime minister was asked about the criticisms launched by the interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, on the information received by the local authorities from the Ministry of Development on the suspension of “almost 2,700 investments” until the end of the year.
“There are an important number of investments started on the national budget. These investments had an allocated amount this year. This amount is almost entirely consumed. As we, in the first six months, we spent more than we committed and received less money than we thought we would receive, we have no more to allocate, which was to be used, and Bolojan.
The Liberal Prime Minister says that the Government “proceeded so legally, because there were no more financing, but also a prioritization that is based on the achievement chart”.
“At the proposal of the ministry, this decision was made that the projects on roads, which are in a proportion of 80% already realized, will be continued so that we can complete something this year, and at the water and gas component, those that are, therefore, in a phase of over 40%. If we were to intersect these projects, it would mean that 35% of the projects” That there were no more financing, but also by making a prioritization that is based on the achievement chart – the more we achieved, the more we can finish them, we continue those, ”explained the prime minister.
Ilie Bolojan explained how the government will continue.
“Regardless of who is in government, there is no possibility to continue these projects on the amounts that, therefore, were contracted without thinking that there was a need for a staggering – and then in the second half of the year we will prioritize these projects and, until the end, we will make some government decisions and in the coalition, which will be the criteria, which will be these, (…), depending, possibly, by the confinement that a local authority or other financial mechanisms can grant, which are related to things that do not continue to affect our deficit.
