The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, said on Friday night, on B1 TV, that notes of finding the prime minister's control body were issued on the situation at Salina Praid, and the head of Romanian Waters, Sorin Lucaci, has a deadline to send the point of view on the situation found there.
“It is a process that is ongoing, there are notes of finding the prime minister's control body. Until Monday, Mr. Lucaci (Sorin Lucaci – General Director of Romanian Waters – no) has the right to defend himself and we must wait for exactly what the defenses he has.
She stated that, given the information from the notes of finding she has already received from the control body, “there are shared responsibilities” between several institutions, not only Romanian and Salrom.
“There are a lot of institutions that, unfortunately, waited for a disaster to happen, although they knew that there was a probability and there were studies over studies to show that there is a high risk of what happened,” said Diana Buzoianu.
Regarding the management of the Romanian National Administration, one of the institutions directly involved in the situation in Praid, Diana Buzoianu said that a decision will be taken next week.
