Poland sent a protest note to Russia after the massive attack that hit the Embassy in Kiev: “The drones will not scare us”

The Polish Foreign Ministry sent the Russian Embassy to Warsaw an official protest note, following the massive attack with drones and rockets that damaged the Kiev Polish consulate.

“The Polish Foreign Ministry has handed a note to the Russian Embassy by which it protests against the air attacks on the population of Ukraine. Following [atacurilor de aseară]the building of the Poland Embassy in Ukraine was damaged ”, wrote the ministry on Friday, in a post on social networks on Friday.

“The ministry stressed that it is a violation of international law, especially the Vienna Convention of 1961,” he added.

On Thursday night, Russia used about 550 drones and rockets to perform the highest air attack on Ukraine since the beginning of the war in 2022, according to the Ukrainian army, who added that 478 were shot down by air defense systems.

The attacks killed a person in Kiev and hurt 26, including a child.

Following the attack, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski wrote on social networks that he spoke to Poland's business in Ukraine, Piotr łukasiewicz, who confirmed that there were no injured at the Poland Embassy.

“Ukraine urgently needs air defense resources,” he wrote, adding later: “The drones will not scare us. We are with Ukraine. To victory.”

In a separate post, the Foreign Minister said President Vladimir Putin “is playing Donald Trump's efforts to ensure peace in Ukraine, urging the US president to restore Ukraine's anti-aircraft and” impose new hard sanctions. ”

The United States confirmed earlier this week that they had suspended some weapons deliveries to Kiev, including Patriot missiles, which were vital to Ukraine to defend its cities by Russian missiles.

Trump had a telephone conversation on Friday with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodimir Zelenski, in which the two leaders discussed the air defense, according to the Ukrainian president.

The conversation took place one day after Trump spoke on the phone with Putin – a discussion that the US president said at the disappointment.
