Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan told ProTV on Friday that the latest package or three fiscal measures will also attack the problem of special pensions, because not only is a milestone but is simply a social necessity. The head of the Executive mentioned that we are the only country in the world that retire our judges at 48, with an average pension of 5,000 euros and this can no longer continue.
“At the latest in the second or three package we will also attack the problem of special pensions, because not only is a milestone, so an obligation in relation to the European Commission and the funding we receive and is simply a social necessity,” said Ilie Bolojan, quoted by News.ro.
He mentioned that we are the only country in the world that retire our judges at 48, with an average pension of 5,000 euros, which is about nine times higher than the average pension in Romania, given that much of Romanians retire at 65.

“Instead of 48 to 60 years, for example, they have 12 years of highlighting the experience it has accumulated, we continue with this measure. We will have to correct it. It is an aspect that is related to a minimum social justice and a minimum respect for the citizens of our country,” the prime minister added.
