Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said, in an interview with Antena3cnn, that he would send files to the Prosecutor's Office the building owned by RA-APPS, which was rented to a private one who later rented a bank on a double price: “If they find that market prices are correct, buried by papers, but against the sensation there are no papers”.

“We have a state building in the center of the capital, which is administered by this protocol director. In the past years, this building was rented to a private company, which in turn has undergone a state bank. The problem is that the private company pays RA-APPS a monthly rent of about 60,000 euros, and an eximbank rent for 180,000 euros. 120,000 euros that the private company receives, issuing invoices to the state bank.

The prime minister said that “performing managers”, both from RA-APPS and Eximbank, are based on each one on the market prices they pay.

“What are these” performing managers “based on? And the RA-APPS manager has evaluations that the price of 60,000 euros a month, with which he rented in private, is a market price. And the state bank has other evaluations, also market and honest, from which it turns out that the price is market, but for the same building ”, added the prime minister.

RA-APPS replies that this contract has been extended by the government itself

The building in Bucharest where Eximbank operates is in the administration of RAAPPS based on a lease concluded in 1996, which was successively extended for 30 years by the General Secretariat to the Government, the Autonomous Administration of the State Protocol (RAAPPS) administration in a press release.

The case was made public last Friday, in a press conference, by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan who stated that a building owned by RAAPPS was rented to a private one who later rented a bank on a double price. The prime minister said he did not talk to the director of RA-APPS, but spoke to that of the bank, who asked if he asked the problem of this and why he did not ask the director to pay for his headquarters directly, instead of doing it through a higher price, stating that “the sensation is high in many places”.

The institution that manages the heritage buildings said on Thursday that the respective contract was carried out under economic efficiency conditions, the rates being established on the basis of the reports prepared by authorized evaluators and there was no other rental request. In addition, “the contract is not the subject of any dispute or suspicions of corruption that can be put in charge of its management or governing bodies.”
