“A great benefit, a big plus”

Radu Petrescu (42 years old) is ready for the start of the new superliger season, and in the theoretical and physical tests that took place at the Grădiștei Gorge he had no problems. The “Central” answered the questions of the Sports Gazette regarding the pressure put on the arbitration and the most important moments in the career
On Saturday, the new competitive season is officially resumed, along with the Romanian Super Cup, the confrontation between FCSB and CFR Cluj. Then, next week, the new superliger season begins.
After the physical tests this morning some of the “central” discussed with the press, including the Sports Gazette, present at the Grădiștei Gorge.

VIDEO. Radu Petrescu: “Holiday one month? Only four, five days of state”
– Radu, we are preparing for a new season of superlig. How are you after the tests from the Grătiștei Gorges? How do you wait for the new competition season?
– What I found is that time goes by very quickly. I was even talking to some of my colleagues and it was like a month ago and I was actually a year. We gave the theoretical tests and the video test yesterday, today the physical tests and we are prepared for a new championship.
– Have you had time to enjoy your holiday too?
– It's very little break. From the last stage, which ends around June 1, now, after a month, we have tests. You realize it is impossible to have a break for a month. For most break it was somewhere at a maximum of 4-5 days for nothing. Otherwise, we have to prepare because we cannot give the tests as they were today not having a minimum of training, I do not know, three weeks.
The rule of 8 seconds! “It's a great benefit”
– We have a new rule, the porters are not allowed to hold the ball for more than eight seconds.
– It's a great benefit! A big plus for the development of football, because as this rule was thought, it was sometimes difficult to give an indirect free kick. It was difficult that, from the stomach, I do not know how to say, and it is much simpler for us, and for football, and for everyone.
– Now you have to count the eight seconds. Will it not be difficult?
– We'll learn. And for us there is something new, surely we will not have this job in automatism, it will not be as if we do this for 10 years, but slowly we will succeed.
“I always watch the whole match-tail match”
– How would you like to show the new competition season?
– I hope for everyone to live beautiful moments in the arbitration, to succeed in the matches we have in Liga 1 to have good performances and, of course, to enjoy the international matches.

Radu Petrescu at Rapid – FCSB 1-2
– After the matches you arbitrate, do you watch some decisions you make?
– Always, always! Yes, I watch the whole match, head-tail.
– And the percentage how is it? Are you satisfied with yourself?
– It's hard to answer. I am generally satisfied, but it's hard to answer. There are punctual situations when I certainly had to make other decisions, but there are many good things in total.
“I try to stay as far as I can outside the discussions and statements”
– What is your expectations from you in the new season?
– One of the expectations is to arbitrate in the Champions League. It is certainly very important to go out to all the matches and here in Romania. Let us have performances, in general, appreciated.
– This outdoor pressure on you bothers you? Is that something that hangs before a match? Or do you try to avoid?
– I avoid, I don't try to avoid! Avoid. I may not be the right person for this question, but I avoid, I do not … generally, I try to stay outside the discussions, interviews, statements. There are many situations that I meet … I do not know how much something has been discussed and someone tells me something and I do not know what to answer, because I do not know that situation.
– That is, not only the players have pressure from the patrons, of the public. Obviously it's you too. How do you manage it?
– Yes, there are methods and methods. I personally manage not paying attention to it, in the sense that I prefer not to know.
The most important moment of last season
– But the fact that former colleagues analyze you, disturb you in any way?
– Grandpa I learned something! That I always give my opinion about a person when I am in his place. I am not in their place and I do not know what to … I personally do not affect me, but I do not know if it is okay how they do or not. I wasn't in their place and …
– What was the most important moment of last season for you?
– The fact that I had three matches in the Champions League.
– And the most difficult?
– I don't come to mind.
