“Ukraine will not survive without NATO support”

“I completely understand that the US always has to ensure their own interests. But when it comes to Ukraine in a short period, it cannot do without any support that we can provide it when it comes to ammunition and air defense systems” – said Rutte.
In this way he commented on the Pentagon decision to suspend the shipment of some types of missiles to Ukraine due to the low level of inventory in American arsenals.
Rutte reminded that last week during the NATO summit in the Hague, the presidents of the USA and Ukraine, Donald Trump and Wołodymyr Zelnski took place “A very good discussion, especially focusing on air defense systems“, after which Trump promised”Check “whether it can provide Ukraine with more Patriot rockets.
Rutte has repeatedly praised Trump during the interview, his peace initiative and emphasis on increasing defense expenditure in NATO, but appealed to the USA for “flexibility” on Ukraine.
“So yes, I understand that the US must take care of their supplies. But we must allow some flexibility here. In the meantime, Europeans are up to the challenge. This year they allocated 35 billion to Ukraine. So when it comes to transferring weight from the United States to Europe, it happens, but we can't do without the practical support of the USA” – the Dutchman argued.
He claimed that it is in the interest of the US that Ukraine would not lose the war, indicating that the threat from Russia, North Korea or Iran is connected.
