Our country is the first European market for the Chinese brand of Chery. At the beginning, two models from the Tiggo series will appear-two SUVs with internal combustion and hybrid engines. Prices? For a Pole's pocket.
The Chery Automobile concern has been present in Poland since last year thanks to two Marek belonging to him – OMODA and JAECOO. Their sales are growing, and the Chinese encouraged by these decided to continue expansion. This time they focused on the flagship brand of Chery, for which Poland will be the first market in Europe. Two Models from the Tiggo series were presented on Monday, and on Tuesday July 1 they go on sale.
It is about Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 models. Both are SUVs, but differing in size and equipment.
Chery Tiggo 7 – Parameters and prices
The Chery Tiggo 7 model is referred to as “the best -selling C segment SV in the world”. The vehicle that can accommodate 5 people is 4553 mm long, 1862 mm wide and 1696 mm high. The wheelbase is 2670 mm. The car offers 500 liters of trunk capacity and 1305 liters after folding the rear seats.
It will be offered with both combustion engines (ICE) and plug-in (PHEV) hybrid engines, both in the front and four-wheel drive version.
Prices? The cheapest version of Essential, with a charged 1.6TGDI unit with 147 HP, will be available from PLN 124,900, and the Comfort version will be 10,000. PLN more expensive. Prestige AWD version with the same engine, but with all -wheel drive will be offered for PLN 154,900.
Chery Tiggo 7 in the hybrid version is powered by the 1.5T-GDI DHE unit with a 143 HP and 204 HP electric combustion engine power, which makes up the maximum total power of the 279 HP. The Hybrid Tiggo 7 in the Essential equipment version will be available for PLN 154,900, and in the Prestige version for PLN 164,900.
Cherry tiggo 8 – parameters and prices
Cherry Tiggo 8 is positioned as Premium SUV from the D segment ensuring greater comfort and the highest level of safety. It holds 7 people. It has 4725 mm long, 1860 mm wide and 1705 mm high. In the trunk with passengers, we will find only 193 l capacity, but after unfolding the last row of seats, the capacity increases to 889 l, and with a second row folded to the impressive 1930 liters.
Cherry Tiggo 8 is powered by exactly the same units as a smaller model – a 147 hp internal combustion unit or hybrid with a total power of 279 HP. In the case of this model, the drive only is available on the front wheels.
How much does Tiggo 8 cost? We will pay PLN 149,900 for the Prestige version of PLN 159,900 for the gasoline Tiggo 8 ICE in the Essential equipment version. However, in the case of hybrid drives in the Essential version, the cost is PLN 169,900, and in the Prestige version PLN 179,900.
The Chinese brand hopes that it will attract customers to Tiggo models not only thanks to the attractive cars for this class, but also thanks to the 7-year warranty and the full insurance package for a symbolic zloty.
Chery – what is this brand?
The Chery brand is little known in Poland, but in other markets triumphs have long been. He has been the largest exporter of passenger cars in China for years. The brand is present in over 110 countries and has over 16 million users around the world. In 2024 alone, Chery sold 2.6 million vehicles, generating revenues with an equivalent of over PLN 283 billion and gaining space on the Fortune Global 500 list. Chery ensures that he treats Poland as a key strategic market for its further expansion on the European continent.
